Sarona is a German settlement in the beating heart of Tel Aviv.

This is an architectural and historical pearl that tells the story of a fascinating community that settled here in the 19th century, 40 years before the foundation of Tel Aviv.

Founded in 1871 by German Templers, this unique site underwent amazing changes. Its residents were first appreciated for introducing advanced farming and manufacturing practices to the region; but later expelled for being Nazi subjects – in the heart of the First Hebrew City. Sarona transformed into a British military base, then the headquarters of both the Israeli Army and the Mossad – and finally one of Tel Aviv's most popular shopping and recreation sites. 

To the Mysteries of the Holy City of Jerusalem

The old city of Jerusalem hides behind its walls 3000 years of history. Every corner, every street, every church, mosque or synagogue, curates fascinating stories and ancient legends. This is a sacred place for millions of Jews, Christians and Muslims. This fact makes Jerusalem to one of the most important, interesting and yes, also to one of the most flammable place in the world. In our tour we will visit the four quarters of the old city including sites holy to Jews, Muslims, and Christians: the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Via Dolorosa – the way of suffering, the western wall (also  known as the Wailing Wall), The dome of the rock and Al -Aqsa mosque.

Treasures, curses, holiness and mysteries in Ein Kerem

Ein Kerem is an ancient and picturesque village in Jerusalem mountains. This is a must pilgrimage site for Christians as this is the birthplace of John the Baptist. A tour through the winding allies, the churches spires and the bell towers will bring us back in time and reveal ancient and holly traditions, forbidden loves and hidden treasures that where secreted here.

On our back to Tel Aviv we will stop at one of the local boutique winery for relaxation and tastings. 

Tour includes light lunch on road and e=wine tastings.

Full day Jerusalem and Dead Sea

Pick up from Tel Aviv: from 07:20 to 07:50

Price: 500 NIS per person

Drive to Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Stop at Mount Zion to visit King David's Tomb, the Room of Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey; Enter the Old City and walk through the Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and restored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian Quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the church of Holy Sepulchre. Drive through the Judean desert to the Dead Sea. Stop for relaxation at one of the resorts on the shores of the Dead Sea; Enjoy the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea and cover yourself with the mineral rich, therapeutic Dead Sea mud. Return to point of departure.

Note : Modest dress (no shorts or sleeveless shirts) and head covering are required for visiting holy sites. Bathing suit, hat and towel are recommended.

Conference Activities Cancellation Policy

Refund of payments made towards registration will be refunded if written notification reaches the Conference Secretariat, Ortra Ltd. as follows:

Cancellation received within 14 days from the date of registration (unless registration was made during the 7 days prior to the conference) – Full refund less 100 NIS handling fees.

If cancellation received 15 days or more from the date of registration refund will be made as follows:

  • Before 7 October 2019 – Full refund with deduction of NIS 100 handling fee
  • From 7 October 2019 – 50% refund
  • From 28 October 2019 – No refund
